FAQ’s

  • Acupuncture is just one branch of of Traditional Chinese Medicine— a robust medical system practiced throughout the world.

In China and even countries of the European Union, especially Germany, Norway, and Switzerland, acupuncture is integrated into hospital settings as an essential form of care for patients, given its evidence-based approach, incredible results, and noninvasive nature.

Here, in the United States, we are beginning to see its integration into our broader healthcare system. Those of us who practice in the U.S. have come to know just how comprehensive and effective this medicine is, especially for those who have found little hope through the dominant healthcare system.

If you feel as though you have tried everything, or are finding very few answers elsewhere, we encourage you to give acupuncture a try, as many patients around the world have, to finally get the relief and quality of life you are looking for.

  • Acupuncture is a highly regulated field in the U.S.

    Practitioners must be licensed.

In order to hold a license, practitioners must complete the following steps in this order:

    1. Earn a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent

    2. Earn a Master’s Degree of Acupuncture, which requires 3 -5 years of rigorous, typically full-time education in both Eastern and Western medicine

    3. Pass national board exams on Biomedicine (aka Western Medicine), Acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine

    4. Apply for and receive National Certification

    5. Apply for and receive State Licensure

    6. Meet a minimum of 30 continuing education hours every two years

And, of course, have FUN while doing it 🤪
